Genetic diversity analysis of Capsicum annuum L. cultivars from Bosnia and Herzegovina using EST-SSR markers

چکیده
With a significant economic value, pepper (Capsicum annuum L., Solanaceae) represents major vegetable crop worldwide. Simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers and expressed tags (EST-SSR) are powerful tools for genetic studies the breeding of pepper. In this study, variability among local species was assessed by using 8 EST/SSR markers. The varieties were collected locally, based on old sorts, hybrids, sorts found in markets, with total 14 varieties. Mean expected heterozygosity (He) ranged from s 0.30 to 0.83 populations studied, whereas mean polymorphic information content (PIC) 0.62. average number alleles per primer 2.5 locus. relationships revealed Neighbor-Joining dendrogram showed clear clustering three sub-populations making distinct clusters. As expected, all make up one cluster, together hybrid Istra, concluding that evolved cross-breeding These results indicate confirm regional physiological differences between sorts.

Use of EST-SSR markers for evaluating genetic diversity and fingerprinting celery (Apium graveolens L.) cultivars.
Celery (Apium graveolens L.) is one of the most economically important vegetables worldwide, but genetic and genomic resources supporting celery molecular breeding are quite limited, thus few studies on celery have been conducted so far. In this study we made use of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers generated from previous celery transcriptome sequencing and attempted to detect the genetic d...

robust information of genetic diversity among bt cotton genotypes is still lacking and availability of several marker systems has prompted us to compare their utility for the detection of genetic diversity. here, we report the comparative efficiency of morphological and molecular markers (est-ssrs and issrs) in determining the genetic diversity among 30 pakistani bt cotton genotypes. three diff...
متن کاملGenetic Diversity and Population Structure of Iranian tulips revealed by EST-SSR and NBS-LRR Markers
The genus Tulipa L. (Liliaceae) comprises about 100 species and Iran is considered as one of the main origins of tulips. In this research, genetic diversity and population structure of 27 wild populations of tulips collected from Iran were studied by 15 highly polymorphic and reproducible expressed sequenced tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers and 8 nucleotide binding site (NBS)-enzyme...

متن کاملDevelopment of EST-SSR markers to study genetic diversity in hyacinth bean (Lablab purpureus L
The development of expressed sequence tags (ESTs) has provided a useful source for the mining of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. The hyacinth bean (Lablab purpureus L.) is one of the most ancient and important legume crops in the world, and is widely distributed in tropical and sub-tropical regions, but currently only limited molecular markers are available. The aim of the present study i...
